A buddy of mine bought me a cookbook he found at a garage sale for $.25 cents. Beats any price of the bargain shelf books I’ve gotten and BN or Borders. Anyway…I found this recipe in the book and thought it was a fun idea to carry the phyllo crisp over into the dessert. [...]

Serves: 2
Ingredients
For the phyllo wrapped banana:
3 sheets [...]

I just had to. This post is a blog and email inspired entry. While reading Will Work For Food, I saw his posting of what he did with some extra strawberries and hit him up with my mascarpone cheesecake recipe.
WWFF said, “I bet that’d make a great cake if placed on top of mascarpone cheesecake!”

Ahhh…sitting here enjoying the beautfiul sunshine. A glass of Hoegaarden by my side and ready for the next post. As you can see from my previous desserts, I’ve been on a mascarpone kick. Well, it’s still kicking.
You’ll see that this recipe doesn’t use as much sugar as traditional recipes. Mascarpone, the Italian version of cream [...]

I created this for one of my sister’s birthday parties years ago. Back then, I served them on bamboo skewers to give the lollipop feel. It’s a simple dessert to make and is fun to plate.
Ingredients
16 long stem strawberries
9 - 10 oz. of dark chocolate. I prefer 85% cocao
Fleur de Sel to top
Mascarpone [...]
